So far, much of Westfield UTC’s revamp has been about dining (Shake Shack, Queenstown Bistro), wellness (SoulCycle), and beauty (Credo, AÄsop). Now you can give your home an upscale makeover, too, thanks to Arhaus, a 21,000-square-foot globally inspired furniture emporium.
The inventory is a cross between Anthropologie and Restoration Hardware—with a conscious hook. The family-run furniture maker, launched in Cleveland 32 years ago and now with 70 locations nationwide, is committed to using reclaimed, recycled, and sustainably sourced materials, from Mexican copper to Italian leather and wood carvings from India.
Displays for the living room, bedroom, and office line the first floor of the sole San Diego showroom, as well as American-made upholsteries in hides, furs, drapery, and fabric swatches for custom orders.
But the second-floor alfresco furniture area is a showstopper, with a skylight and windows that overlook the new Nordstrom plaza. Consultants can guide you through complimentary services, from design profile brainstorming to in-home evaluations—or should we say, haus calls.
