A chef who won the World Food Championships. A sommelier from Addison. A craft cocktail guy from Lion’s Share. What sounds like another Little Italy super-opening is not. Named after San Diego swimming legend Florence Chadwick, The Florence is in Sabre Springs, a nice-lawn, good-schools hamlet just west of Poway.

The $4 million, 10,000-square-foot restaurant, with fire pits and a bocce ball court on two acres of outdoor space, is located in . . . an office park? Yep. This is the new game. To attract A-plus tenants, business parks are creating their own versions of Juniper & Ivy.

Chef Ricardo Heredia is cooking healthier gourmet, with dishes like cured salmon with tangerine, Korean-style cast-iron pork, and bison tartare. Welcome to the food revolution, suburbia.
