The new Central Library is holding a “homework coach” recruiting event and open house. At the event, a librarian will teach families and kids from all over San Diego to how to use the new Union Bank Homework Center and also recruit dedicated volunteer homework coaches to help kids in the new center. The center provides students with materials, assistance and technology needed to complete their school assignments successfully. 1-5pm, 330 Park Blvd. San Diego, CA 92101. (Children are welcome.)
