Hiking and medicine go hand-in-hand for Scripps’ father-daughter doctor duo

Prabhaker Tripuraneni, MD, drove past Torrey Pines on his way to Scripps Clinic for ten years without so much as a pit stop. But when a friend talked him into a hike, it only took one trek to get the oncologist hooked. He’s now been walking those same trails (and some notably tougher ones like Machu Picchu and Mount Kilimanjaro) for 25 years. And much in the same way he encouraged daughter Sravanthi to pursue a career in medicine, he inspired her love for the trails. Read more about how hiking became a family affair here.
