Scoop San Diego Ice Cream Festival Returns with Celebrity Chef Showdown

The 7th Annual Scoop San Diego Ice Cream Festival, presented by Pacific Health Group, brings together San Diego’s top ice cream, gelato, and paleta makers for a day of sampling, entertainment, and community fun and with a renewed focus on sustainability.

This year’s festival set for Sunday, June 22 from 12-4 p.m. will feature exclusive flavors created using recovered produce from local nonprofit ProduceGood, highlighting a community-driven commitment to reducing food waste and supporting those in need. New this year: a live Best Ice Cream Flavor of the Year competition judged by celebrity chefs Claudia Sandoval, Zuliya Khawaja, and Sam The Cooking Guy.

Festival highlights include:
– 30+ vendors serving ice cream, gelato, and paletas
– Exclusive, limited-edition flavors made with rescued produce
– Celebrity chef judging and People’s Choice voting
– Expanded VIP Experience with premium bites, craft ice cream, lounge spaces, and fast lane access
– Family activities, interactive activations, live demos, music, and more

The VIP Experience tickets are priced at $125 and includes early access to the festival, bites from Michelin-starred chef Drew Deckman, fresh-churned ice cream by Pastry Chef Letha Marie Gimble, pizza from Sisters Pizza, cold drinks, exclusive flavors, VIP fast lanes, lounge seating, and custom activations.

General Admission tickets are priced at $50 and include 10 one-ounce samples from participating vendors between 12pm–4pm.

100% of net proceeds benefit ProduceGood, a local nonprofit fighting food waste and hunger in San Diego County.
