Inspiring Film Screening of Paralympic Gold Medalist’s True Story

About the Event

Addicted to Life tells the poignant true story of Belgian Paralympian Marieke Vervoort. Facing a brutal, degenerative neuromuscular disease, Vervoort made headlines globally when she applied for and received legal permission for euthanasia in Belgium.

Paradoxically, having the paperwork in her possession gave her the peace of mind to keep living—and she went on to win her fourth Paralympic gold medal before choosing her own time to die.

Film director Pola Rapaport will join us via Zoomimmediately after the screening for Q&A.
