La Jolla Music Society raised over $800,000 at the sold-out Galaxy of Stars Gala, a fundraising event and concert featuring cellist Yo-Yo Ma, pianist Emanuel Ax, and violinist Leonidas Kavakos performing Brahms’ piano trios. Funds raised will in-part benefit the music society’s education program, which positively impacts more than 12,000 students each year.
