Glass Box in Del Mar Will Offer World Tuna Day Menu May 2-5

About the Event

May 2nd is a day the United Nations General Assembly voted to officially observe World Tuna Day. In honor of this important holiday, local San Diego restaurant, Glass Box is excited to announce its one-of-a-kind World Tuna Day menu showcasing the culinary excellence of this beloved fish. Glass Box’s World Tuna Day menu will be offered from Thursday, May 2 to Sunday, May 5.

In addition to practicing sustainability by utilizing every part of the tuna to minimize waste and crafting a menu focused on this versatile fish, Executive Chef and Owner, Ethan Yang, will donate 10% of proceeds from his World Tuna Day menu to the Surfrider Foundation San Diego chapter. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to defending our oceans from challenges threatening the vitality of the ecosystem.

Diners can choose to savor individual menu items à la carte or enjoy the entire menu for a special price of $85, dessert included. The menu will feature a unique array of dishes expertly crafted by Chef Ethan. Guests can indulge in flavorful creations such as Tuna Tartare with Avocado Mousse ($18), Seared Tuna with Sesame Crust ($15), Tuna Carpaccio with Truffle Oil ($21), Tuna Ravioli with Saffron Broth ($16), and Tuna Katsu with Curry Aioli ($18).
