Native Plant Month 2025 Panel Discussion – Wildfire: Nature, Our Homes, and the Spaces In Between

To celebrate Native Plant Month, we’re planning a special chapter meeting with a panel discussion about wildfire, the opportunity to learn more about our chapter’s work, and ways to become involved. We will have seeds, books and CNPS merchandise for sale, which helps support our chapter. The panel discussion will help dispel myths and misinformation about wildfires and provide recommendations on ways to make your landscape and area surrounding your home more fire resilient. Our panelists include:

Defensible Space Landscaping – Greg Rubin, owner of California’s Own Native Landscape Design

Wildfire Ecology – Richard Halsey, Director of California Chaparral Institute
