Sea Sessions Presents: Lucas John

About the Event

Experience the ultimate way to discover new musical artists and new music in San Diego. SEA SESSIONS brings together live music and bay cruising in a brand new way. You’ll be welcomed aboard the NERISSA, a gorgeous 73 foot motor yacht, along with the other guests for the evening. Then, you’ll soak in the beauty of the San Diego Bay and the city lights at sunset as you cruise the harbor in style. Next, you’ll join the rest of the guests for a 60 minute intimate acoustic performance by our featured musical guest that evening. Every artist we showcase is handpicked for their talent, accolades, and our belief they’re all going to be household names in the near future. We encourage you to check out the calendar on our website to read about each artist and hear their music. A full bar and light bites are also available for cash/card purchase on every cruise. Check out theseasessions.com for more information and to secure your reservations for this one-of-a-kind event.

About Lucas John…

Virginia born. Music raised.

A seasoned singer-songwriter focused on the power of a lyric and the energy of the music, Lucas is no stranger to the music industry. Originally from Williamsburg, VA, Lucas began his career at the age of 16 as a singer and guitar player at the renowned Busch Gardens theme park located in his hometown.

Since his move to Nashville in 2011, he has exceeded his small town dreams. He has written songs with legendary songwriters such as Aaron Barker (George Strait’s “I Can Still Make Cheyenne,” Lonestar’s “What About Now”), Doug Johnson (Randy Travis’ “Three Wooden Crosses”), Mark Irwin (Alan Jackson’s “Here in the Real World,” Tim McGraw’s “Highway Don’t Care”), Danny Wells (George Strait’s “Check Yes or No”) and others.

He has taken legendary stages such as The Bluebird Cafe, The Grand Ole Opry, Red Rocks Amphitheater and Nissan Stadium to name a few. As the lead guitar player for Stoney Creek recording artist, Frank Ray, Lucas performed on Old Dominion’s No Bad Vibes arena tour throughout the US and Canada.

Whether it was as a lead guitar player for an artist or as the artist himself, Lucas has performed on festival lineups and opened for artists such as Jelly Roll, Bret Michaels, Jon Pardi, Megan Moroney, Brothers Osbourne, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Jake Owen, LoCash, Sam Hunt, Chris Young, Dylan Scott, Chase Matthew and many others.

While Nashville is the home for country music, Lucas is a rock pop artist that strives to create fun yet genuine and earnest music. He is a force to be reckoned with as a performer. Come and see for yourself, you’re going to love it.
