Hylete Brings High-Performance Fashion to North County

An activewear brand known for its CrossFit-minded apparel debuts its first store in Solana Beach

By Archana Ram

Just because you’re bursting into air squats and burpees doesn’t mean you can’t look good while breaking a sweat. Local activewear line Hylete—popular for their high-performance apparel geared toward CrossFit-loving, triathlon-racing, Tough Mudder–competing men and women—recently debuted their first retail store in Solana Beach.

The location is curated with tops, bottoms, and accessories—all of which blend function and fashion. Offerings include a fast-drying men’s short ideal for high heat, water, and mud conditions, as well as a women’s short with double-layer material to prevent transparency and a four-way stretch for mobility.

The brand will soon also sell their charity tees, already available online, in store; 50 percent of each shirt’s revenue is donated to select charities, like Scratch My Belly, a nonprofit dedicated to saving animals from high-kill shelters in Southern California and Mexico. Look good, do good, feel good.
