Bottlecraft has opened a new location in Sorrento Valley with 23 taps, including one for local hard kombucha brand JuneShine.


Barrio Logan’s mixed-use building Mercado del Barrio has added the Vietnamese concept Pho Bo alongside Attitude Brewing Co., Dough Nation, and Maggie’s Café.


From the team behind Breakfast Republic comes North Park Breakfast Co., slated to debut this month on University Avenue at Iowa Street.


Following success in North Park, Grand Ole BBQ y Asado is set to unveil a second, more expansive space this month. Beyond barbecue, the Flinn Springs restaurant has horseshoes and a stage for live music.

East Village icon Cafe Chloe has closed after 14 years of quiche, croque monsieur, and café au lait.


Taking over Crudo’s former spot in Carmel Valley, Casa Rústica is serving mole chilaquiles, ceviches, and more. Look for their fast-casual taqueria, California Taco Club, next door.


619 Distillery is now open in North Park, home of local spirit brand 619 Vodka served in cocktails along with a menu of rib eye, short-rib poutine, and bone marrow.
