The next best thing to having your own chauffeur for a night out, the monthly DrinkAbout shuttles craft beer lovers to eight different bars and restaurants in Normal Heights, North Park, and South Park. It’s an effort to bring together brew fans—those who know their favorite establishments or want to try new ones—and provide a safe alternative to drunk driving. Held on the third Wednesday of every month (up next: June 18), DrinkAbout stops include Blind Lady Ale House, Tiger! Tiger! Tavern, and Hamilton’s, among other bars, with buses leaving every 30 minutes. The point isn’t to hit every single spot—that would require a cab or public bus ride to move more quickly—but to convene for an informal gathering. We’ll toast to that!
