Peace Pies' magical mango curry wrap packs a rainbow of ingredients
Magical Mango Curry Wrap
Peace Pies, 4230 Voltaire Street, Ocean Beach
I love going to a restaurant where I’m greeted by servers who want to talk about their concept and menu. The concept at Peace Pies? All things vegan and raw, which may be unfamiliar terrain for many people, but I encourage you to be open during your visit. I tried multiple items, and everything was superb. The space is casual, relaxed, and petite. Most of the seating area is outdoors, although there is a small table for two inside.
Their curry coconut tortilla wrap packs a rainbow of ingredients, including generous strips of mango, avocado, and mixed veggies, served alongside a coconut curry sauce and kale chips. The crunch from the mixed veggies balances out the velvety avocado and mango. Size-wise, it has the heft of a California burrito, but instead of gluttonous fries and carne asada, this wrap delivers loads of flavor without the fatty calories.
