With 100 percent Viognier grapes made into wine with Hefeweizen (rather than water), Briar Rose Winery’s new wine lager is a fantastic fusion for lovers of a crisp, light, citrus-y taste. Temecula-based Briar Rose Winery is still looking for distributors for the lager, which won a pair of industry awards in 2010, but offers tastings at the winery by reservation until 5 p.m. every day.
