Flavor chef joins new project from Vin de Syrah people

Told you a bit back about Flavor Del Mar closing (scroll to the comments section of that story for some passionate views from the former GM). The closure wasn’t for lack of talent in the kitchen, though. Brian Redzikowski was a sous at Joel Rubochon’s three-star Michelin in Vegas before helming Flavor. Now he’s signed on with Kettner House, the latest project from Matt Spencer and Tyler Charman (Vin di Syrah, Analog, Firehouse) with mixologist Adam Stemmler (Blind Tiger Coctail Co.) and design handled by BlueMotif Architecture (Cowboy Star, Solace & The Moonlight Lounge). Going into the corner of Grape and Kettner sometime later this year, those associated with the project say it’ll be one “for fans of” Prepkitchen and Craft & Commerce. After the “please give me massive portions, classically prepared” clientele of Del Mar, Redzikowski says he’s looking forward to rejoining the evolving part of the city.
