The Radys’ annual event recognizes the generosity of the organization’s closest supporters and welcomes newcomers who wish to learn more. The Jewel-by-the-Sea theme featured 12-time-platinum recording artist Jewel, a coastal-inspired seafood boil and other delicious food stations provided by Giuseppe Restaurants and Fine Catering, and two specialty libations—Jewel by the Sea and Summertime—concocted by Snake Oil Cocktail Co. Guests also strolled through the “fun zone” and enjoyed festive boardwalk bites, fun carnival games, henna artists, caricaturists, a fortune teller booth, and a vintage photo booth trailer.
Last year, Rady Children’s provided care for more than 219,000 children. In 2014, Ernest and Evelyn Rady made a $120-million gift to launch the Rady Children’s Institute for Genomics Medicine, a groundbreaking pediatric research facility, bringing together the talent, technology, and resources to transform the diagnosis and treatment of childhood diseases.
