February 2:

Witness the power of cinema to support justice for all during the Human Rights Watch Film Festival at the Museum of Photographic Arts (through February 6).

Celebrate food, culture, knowledge, and community at the third annual San Diego Fermentation Festival, showcasing Southern California’s food and brews, at Waterfront Park.

Steve Martin returns to The Old Globe with his hit play Picasso at the Lapin Agile, a comedy about Pablo Picasso and Albert Einstein sparring over art, science, and love in early 1900s Paris (through March 12).

February 5:

With music by Tchaikovsky and choreography by famed dancer Marius Petipa, the Stars of the Russian National Ballet bring the tale of Sleeping Beauty to life at Balboa Theatre.

Celebrate wine and south-of-the-border eats during the Brunch Wine Bazar, hosted at Rancho La Puerta, the award-winning wellness resort in Tecate (transport provided from Mission Bay).

February 9:

Founded by alumni of the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Complexion Contemporary Ballet fuses hip-hop, contemporary, and ballet styles into one performance at California Center for the Arts, Escondido.

Vocalist Charenée Wade pays tribute to musical greats like Gil Scott-Heron and Brian Jackson through jazz, R&B, and vocal improv at The Loft at UCSD.

February 10:
