Things to Do: December 1-7

The best events in San Diego this week

December 1:

Do you want to build a snowman? Head to Legoland for a month of Holiday Snow Days and Winter Nights, featuring snowy fun, holiday entertainment, and the world’s largest Lego Christmas tree.

December 2:

If you missed it last month, there’s still time to score tickets to the “popular” musical Wicked, at the San Diego Civic Theatre.

December 3:

“Wicked Game” crooner Chris Isaak performs holiday tunes at the Belly Up.

December 4:

Bring the whole family to the Westgate Hotel Annual Holiday Celebration, benefiting the Mainly Mozart Youth Orchestra.

December 5:

’Tis the season to be sparkling at Le Metro Wine’s Holiday Bubbles Bash, Champagne Masquerade.

Meet Santa, visit Candyland, and ride the Polar Express when you bring the kids to Holiday Wonderland at Petco Park.

Hundreds of thousands of holiday revelers descend on Balboa Park for the two-day December Nights festivities.

December 6:

It’s the 51st annual North Park Toyland Parade and Festival and the 35th annual Ocean Beach Holiday Parade—because hipsters and hippies love holidays, too.

Don your black tie and ball gowns for a night on the town in support of health care at Scripps Health’s Candlelight Ball at the Grand Del Mar.

December 7:

Move over, cookies and eggnog; there’s new holiday fare in town: craft beer and chili at the SoNo Fest and Chili Cook-Off in North Park.

Spin the dreidel and snack on latkes during the Hanukkah Happening family festival at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center.
