For a dinner brimming with elegance and luxury, Donovan’s Steak & Chop House in La Jolla and the Gaslamp Quarter are the ideal locations to spoil mom this Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12. Chef Sal Reynoso of Donovan’s Steak & Chop House in La Jolla and Chef Arturo Mejia of the Gaslamp location have each crafted elaborate Mother’s Day menus just for the occasion. Both menus will include an array of appetizers such as Bacon Wrapped Scallops, Captain Crunch Ahi and Seared Cajun Lamb Chops, and entrees ranging from Filet Mignon Medallions with Grilled Shrimp Scampi to Pan Seared Halibut with lemon caper beurre blanc. Donovan’s Gaslamp location will also feature menu highlights from sister restaurant Donovan’s Prime Seafood, including Chilean sea bass, Prime Seafood Chowder and Buttermilk Fried Calamari.
In addition to these diverse options, each location will also offer a specially crafted 3-course prix fixe menu. In La Jolla, this includes a salad, either Twin-Prime Filet Medallions, 6oz Prime Filet and Shrimp Scampi or North Atlantic Salmon with Maitre D’ Butter and a choice of dessert, available for $50. The Gaslamp’s prix fixe menu varies slightly, offering a choice of soup or salad, either Twin-Prime Filet Medallions, 6oz Prime Filet and Shrimp Scampi, or Scottish Loch Duart Salmon with Maitre d’ Butter, and a choice of dessert, available for $51.
Mother’s Day menus will be offered at the La Jolla location from 3-9pm and at Gaslamp from 3-10pm. The La Jolla location will also be holding a drawing for moms on Mother’s Day to win a complementary spa day.
