About the Event

Get a first look at one of Encinitas’ most colorful traditions at the Encinitas Arts Alive 2026 Banner Launch! On May 9 from 3–5 PM at the Encinitas Community Center, experience an inspiring afternoon celebrating the artists who bring Coast Highway to life each summer.

Explore all 85 original banners up close before they’re displayed along Historic Coast Highway this summer, meet the creatives behind the work, and hear the stories that sparked each piece. Enjoy live music by The Red Fox Tails, plus refreshments and snacks in a festive, community atmosphere.

Free and open to all—come celebrate the art, the artists, and the spirit of our coastal town!
