Bombay Coast is a vibrant reflection of Mumbai, a place where bold spices, delicate textures, and diverse culinary influences come together in every bite. That’s because for owner and Chef Zubin Kolah, each dish is more than food. From the Chicken Tikka Masala to the Kheema Pav—one of Chef Zubin’s personal favorites—every entrée is shaped by tradition and his own experiences growing up in Bombay. “I want my guests to walk into Bombay Coast and be transported to smell the spices, feel the warmth, and experience the true essence of Bombay,” he says.

Chef Zubin takes pride in bringing authentic Indian cuisine to the people of San Diego. Since opening his first restaurant in 2004, he’s written a cookbook, Finding Bombay, which is sold through the restaurant, and is at work on another focused on Indian street food. “Sharing these recipes is just another way for me to connect with my guests and bring a piece of Bombay into their homes,” he says.
