Approximately 800 guests attended the San Diego Hall of Champions annual salute, which highlighted the induction of Chris Chambliss, Tony Clark, and LaDainian Tomlinson as the newest members of the prestigious Breitbard Hall of Fame. The hall, established in 1953, honors athletes who have excelled athletically in San Diego or who are native San Diegans and have achieved athletic fame elsewhere. Guests wined, dined, and heard speeches from Meb Keflezighi, the 2015 Boston Marathon winner; Bruce Binkowski, Lifetime Achievement Award recipient; and inductee LaDainian Tomlinson. The evening was capped with a special tribute video to Tony Gwynn. Since its inception, the Breitbard Hall of Fame has inducted 140 members representing 20 sports.
