Everyone remembers The Pair That Got Away… This summer, you can put the past behind you as Carlsbad-based sunglass maker Dragon debuts the first-ever action sport collection of floatable shades ($140-$160). The line features Dragon’s five most popular styles, each with polarized lenses and the lightweight thermoplastic material that keeps them afloat. Founder and CEO Will Howard was inspired by all his staff members who surf, stand-up paddle, and wakeboard. Team riders tested them in lakes and oceans—as well as at a few pool parties. Big-wave surfer and 2013 Billabong XXL Ride of the Year champion Shane Dorian owns a few pairs.
