On December 13, the San Diego Magazine team joined the Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Downtown for the first annual Build-a-Bike Fundraiser, in support of the Wounded Warrior Project. The U.S. Marine Corps and Toys for Tots were also on hand to collect gifts for less fortunate children in the community.
We put our bike-building skills to the test in a neck-and-neck race to spread holiday cheer. We may not have been the speediest builders, but you better believe that our decorating talents were top notch. We took home the gold that evening for Best Decorative Bike. But most importantly, we were able to give back to those in need this holiday season, and have a little fun while we were at it.
