Art Class 54. Handmade Pottery—Beginner to Intermediate with Pierre Bounaud | AAC inside Bread & Salt Building | Athenaeum Art Center | Logan Heights

About the Event

Experience the fun in “fun-ctional” ceramics! Learn and develop your hand-building pottery skills with three projects, such as a set of nesting plates, a berry bowl, and your own custom mug. Each class will introduce a new project to work on, which will require practicing different techniques to get to the final assembled piece. The last class will be reserved for glazing all the work produced during the class. At the class’s completion, you will take home your glazed projects, finished and ready to be used.

Beginning to intermediate students are welcome.

Materials: The materials fee, paid to instructor the first day of class, includes clay, glazes, firings, and the use of basic tools. It is recommended that students bring an apron and a hand towel for cleanup, as well as a notebook and pencil to write down instructions and sketch ideas.
