About the Event

Kick off for the San Diego Scottish Highland Games with the literary, often mystical side of Scotland. Folktales, myths, political tales are told in-person by members of Storytellers of San Diego. Selkies, ghosts and other apparitions, humans appear and disappear in traditional storytelling–the original social media.
Tales are told by Marilyn McPhie, Lissette Ryan with harp, James-Nelson Lucas (usually kilted,) Aunt Li-Anne, Mindy Donner, Catherine Bonin and Rachel Amov, on a fine fiddle.
Designed for ages 12 and up.
Bring your own food and drink. We provide atmosphere outdoors under an awning with tables and chairs.
