South Park's Goldleaf feels like a friend's living room

Sonya Kemp spent 14 years working at the Solana Beach boutique SoLo, where she curated an in-store selection of children’s items. So it’s no surprise that owning a shop of her own was a life goal. When the space once occupied by Progress became available, she and husband Kevin jumped on the opportunity. The result is Goldleaf, with giftables and home products that reflect a warm, natural feel, like pastel-hued scarves, woven wall hangings, and Fetch Eyewear for men. Items are displayed in charming vignettes—like a midcentury living room setup—making the store feel more like a friend’s living room. You can also thank sweet shopdog Diego for that vibe.
