Kris Michell didn’t have time for cancer. Routine doctor’s appointments often got pushed to the bottom of the busy executive’s to-do list. A diagnosis of stage 2 invasive carcinoma struck like lightning, but luckily Michell knows a thing or two about overcoming obstacles. She refocused her project management skills and type A tendencies on getting well, and with the help of her medical team at Scripps, she beat cancer.
