The 26th annual Spinoff Gala raised more than $1.2 million to benefit the new Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center. 500 guests attended the sold-out event, which featured live and silent auctions, live music, and gourmet dining. Sponsorships covered the cost of the event and all funds raised at the gala—from the auctions, fund-a-need, and donations—were directed to benefit patient care.
Special thanks were given to top sponsors Rudy Vilkutaitis and Union Bank, and to nine top donors or “founders” who made a three-year commitment at $100,000 per year to help launch the Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center. Special thanks were also given to live auction donors Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, Elie Saab, Crystal Cruises, Kingsboro Doodle Ranch, Pendry San Diego, and Schubach Aviation.
