February Is Museum Month in San Diego

More than 40 institutions will partake in the annual event, which means reduced admission to the San Diego Museum of Art and more

By Sarah Pfledderer

All February long you can admire the historical aircraft aboard the USS Midway, play the guitar at the Museum of Making Music, and get interactive with your little ones at The New Children’s Museum—all for half price, thanks to Macy’s Museum Month.

The 29th annual event offers reduced admission to more than 40 local institutions from Oceanside to the Tijuana Estuary. (Additional fees may apply for special exhibitions and events.) It’s your chance to check out everything you’ve been meaning to see at the Museum of Contemporary Art Downtown, San Diego Air & Space Museum, and the San Diego Museum of Art, whose exhibit Modern Masters from Latin America features works by Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and many more.

Passes are available at Macy’s locations in San Diego or Imperial counties beginning February 1.
