This two-day event, hosted in partnership with Coronado Yacht Club and Cortez Racing Association, benefitted Sharp’s Home for Hospice Campaign, an initiative to build new hospice homes throughout San Diego. Thirty-four sailboats competed in a regatta on Saturday, with skipper Ralph Godkin emerging victorious before a crowd of 600 onlookers. The sold-out Friday night gala raised $270,000 for the project, which has already led to the completion of two homes, with a third breaking ground this month.
