The last time Sir Paul McCartney played in San Diego, he wasn’t yet a Sir. That concert, a one-time stop on his Wings over America tour, took place in 1976. Having since toured the globe multiple times and been knighted by Queen Elizabeth, the ex-Beatle returns to San Diego for a single performance at Petco Park on September 28. Joined by his band of the last decade, Sir Paul will play a wide range: Beatles hits, tracks from his Wings days, and songs from his latest album, New. As part of the Out There tour, expect three hours of pyrotechnics, videos, and rocking music. We’ve seen this legend perform in other cities, and you can believe it when we say this show will give you wings.
