Pear doesn’t get nearly enough play in cocktails. For folks who aren’t fans of sweet drinks, pear offers a milder flavor that’s a perfect pairing (pun intended) for fall spices and the heavier spirits you often find in cold-weather cocktails.
International Smoke’s Pear of Thieves cocktail cranks up pear’s role with a pear purée and St. George Spirits’ wonderful Spiced Pear Liqueur. A vanilla-bourbon syrup nicely ties everything together. International Smoke is located in the newish shopping-and-dining hub One Paseo. Head over and give it a try, out or make it at home for a holiday gathering.
