Blackletter Calligraphy: A 4-Week Introductory Class

Tuesdays, October 27, November 3 , November 10, November 17 (5pm – 7pm)

Blackletter, also called Gothic script, has been in use since the 12th century. Today it shows up in tattoos, certificates, logos, and graphic design. It’s bold, structured, and satisfying to write.

This four-week class covers the fundamentals using a broad-edge parallel pen: the thick and thin strokes that define the style, and how letterforms are built through structure, rhythm, and stroke logic.

Who this is for Beginners through intermediate students. If you’ve never taken a calligraphy class, you’re welcome. If you’re familiar with pointed pen and want to learn broad-edge techniques, this is a good entry point.
