About the Event

Fairmont Grand Del Mar kicks off the San Diego Food + Wine Festival with its fourth annual Día de Muertos Gala on Sunday, November 1. Honoring Chef José Andrés of World Central Kitchen, the reception-style evening brings together Michelin-starred and acclaimed chefs, including Javier Plascencia, Roberto Alcocer, Drew Deckman, and Esteban Lluis, alongside fine wines, premium spirits, live entertainment, and Mexican cultural traditions. The VIP Cocktail Reception begins at 5:00 pm on Solana Terrace, with General Admission at 6:30 pm at Grand Social. All proceeds benefit Fundación Tijuana Sin Hambre, which provides more than one million meals each year to people facing food insecurity in Tijuana.
