Point Loma is Stoned
It needs a bearded mascot named Bastard. Because Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens Liberty Station feels like a well-manicured Disneyland for beer people. At 23,500 square feet, it’s only half the size of its Escondido flagship (55,000). But that’s in the sticks. Smack dab in Point Loma’s historic retail rehab project, Stone Lib feels like a city of yeast. There are two bocce ball courts in an open-air alcove, an outdoor movie area, big rocks everywhere, gargoyles, families, and off-duty enlistees. It took more than two years and $8 million, but Stone finally has the city cornered. Bocce your way to a double IPA-gut. 2816 Historic Decatur Road, stonelibertystation.com
