Long Beach native Chelsea Wonenberg was looking for a photography class in high school, but when a schedule change led her to the pottery studio instead, it wasn’t long before she fell hard for the craft and decided to pursue ceramics full time—first as her major at CSU Long Beach, and later, launching her line, Chel’s Pots, in 2013. Today the Vista resident creates chic, minimalist pieces out of her home studio, where it takes about a week to form the tumblers and cups that can be used for food, drinks, storage, as planters, and more. The pots come mostly in black and white, but keep an eye out for muted pinks and fun quotes coming to a pot near you.
