From waterfront cruises to family-friendly countdowns, here’s where to welcome 2026 in style
For some, 2025 was a dream, and letting go of it feels like Rose releasing Jack: tragic and too soon. For others, 2025 can end immediately, thank you very much. Whatever camp you fall into, there’s no stopping 2026—so we might as well usher it in with style (and sequins). From Gaslamp parties and waterfront cruises to NYE dinner specials and family-friendly countdowns, here’s where to ring in the New Year in San Diego.

Hard Rock’s annual New Year’s Eve bash is always the talk of the town each year. This year the celebration is hosted by Brittany Cartwright of Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules. For those looking for the nightclub experience, the evening includes DJs, themed dance floors, and a midnight Champagne toast. Expect a high-energy crowd, VIP tables, photo booths and a countdown that feels more Vegas than San Diego’s laid-back vibe.
There’s no better backdrop for a midnight countdown than the San Diego skyline from the bay. Flagship is hosting two unique late-night yacht parties—Cocktails & Countdowns and Moonlight & Midnight—featuring DJs, dancing, open-bar options and unobstructed views of the harbor as the clock strikes midnight.

San Diego’s premier New Year’s Eve music festival returns to Petco Park with massive electronic and dance lineups featuring Justice, Skrillex, and others across multiple stages. Proper isn’t just a concert—it’s a two-day party that kicks off New Year’s Eve and rolls straight into New Year’s Day.
The Del’s historic Laundry building transforms into a glamorous New Year’s Eve party with a live rock ‘n’ roll band, an open bar, bites, and a dessert bar. Food offerings include broiled New York steak, a chilled seafood display, and more. Guests must be 21+ to attend.

Perfect for families who don’t want to stay up until midnight, Legoland’s New Year’s Eve celebration offers kid-friendly entertainment and an early fireworks countdown at 6:45 p.m. It’s festive, colorful, and mercifully wrapped up before your kids’ (or your) bedtime.
With panoramic views of the bay and downtown skyline, C Level is the perfect setting for a classy New Year’s Eve dinner. The three-course menu with items like lobster bisque, roasted salmon, filet mignon, and Amaretto cheesecake for dessert.

Celebrate the final night of 2025 with a French-inspired feast from James Beard-nominated chef Tara Monsod. The evening’s three-course prix fixe dinner includes items like beef tartare, lamb lollipops, and Parisian gnocchi along with an optional Champagne toast and caviar service. The La Jolla celebration will offer great bites, live music, and plenty of good vibes to carry you into the new year.
Few places do New Year’s Eve quite like Mister A’s, where the downtown skyline sets the stage for the evening. This year the classic rooftop restaurant is featuring a prix fixe menu featuring dishes like Wagyu beef tartare toast, roasted garlic bone marrow, and a mud pie baked Alaska among other options. Live music, a Champagne toast, and your best sparkly outfits? Cheers to 2026!

The Marine Room channels Manhattan this year for a New Year’s Eve feast overlooking crashing waves. Guests enjoy a four-course prix fixe dinner, live music from crooner Roman Palacios and a New York-style early Champagne toast at 9 p.m at one of La Jolla’s most scenic spots.

The spot is also hosting a late night gathering that includes bites like smoked Columbia River trout and local spiny lobster along with a midnight toast of Champagne.

Ring in 2026 at the Pendry San Diego with a late-night New Year’s Eve party featuring DJ Will Plaze, flowing cocktails, and champagne as the countdown begins. For a more elevated start to the evening, book a five-course prix fixe dinner at Lionfish by executive chef JoJo Ruiz before heading out to celebrate in Gaslamp style.
