Our San Diego Chargers open the season against the Texans on September 9 (on “White Hot Sunday,” pictured above, last year’s home opener, the team wore all white and beat the Tennessee Titans 38–10). Coming off a 7–9 record, the Chargers start with new head coach Mike McCoy, ex-offensive coordinator for the Broncos, and big-name veterans like Eric Weddle (2012 Chargers’ MVP) and Philip Rivers. And hopes are high for Notre Dame recruit Manti Te’o, runner-up for the 2012 Heisman Trophy. But fans be warned: A new NFL-wide policy bans all bags larger than a clutch in the stadium. Carry a one-gallon resealable bag, or buy a clear tote from NFL vendors and stow your stuff inside.
