Diana Alsindy, a chemical engineering student and resident of Rancho San Diego, practices photography on the side. Originally from Iraq, she sees this bridge as a personal representation of “the path to dreams and goal achievements.” For her photo, Alsindy used the technique known as High Dynamic Range (HDR). “I’ve been practicing it for the past few years,” she says. “If you are great at it, your photos will not look grungy or cartoonish!” This picture is a combination of seven photographs, taken with different exposures and F-stops. Afterward, Alsindy used Photoshop to play with various filters. In the same way she discovered this bridge, Alsindy encourages photographers to “let yourself get lost and find places that will fascinate you.”
