The more celebrating Balboa Park’s Panama–California Exhibition centennial, the better, if you ask us. Especially when the celebrating involves eating and drinking. Enter the Museum of Man’s 2015 Centennial Beer Tasting on January 8. As part of its Beerology exhibit that explores the origins of brewing in San Diego and across the world, museumgoers can taste beers from several local breweries. Food trucks will be onsite with samples, too. Fingers are crossed that they will have reached the $3 million donation goal, allowing the museum to reopen its iconic tower to visitors.
