Isola in Little Italy
TASTE OF LITTLE ITALY
Few San Diego burghs have had such a culinary upswing over the last few years like Little Italy. From the new Milanese force of Bencotto/Monello to Prepkitchen and La Villa, the new blood is pushing it past its laurel-resting traditional Italian. At their Taste, Craft & Commerce will roll out some hot beignets with chocolate-bourbon sauce, Monello will hand out paper cones of their young Italian cheese shavings (raspa dura) and good ole Filippie’s will dish their iconic pies.
