With production doubling year over year and sales climbing towards $1 billion nationwide, craft cider is heading for the mainstream fast. People have been drinking hard apple cider for centuries, but today, with surging interest in craft beer (and local craft everything), ciders are on the rise again. It helps that the booze is completely gluten-free and has a high alcohol content (so you can drink less for a buzz).
