First there was Hillcrest, and then there was North Park. The area between the two along Park Boulevard has always been a bit of a no-man’s land. Now acclaimed architect Jonathan Segal has changed that with his new Mr. Robinson building. It’s all concrete and glass and metal modernity. At the base is Trust—owned by chef Brad Wise and general manager Steve Schwob—almost 3,000 square feet on the inside and 1,300 more on the patio, designed by JEL Design with Brad Wise and Steve Schwob.
In the kitchen is Wise (formerly of JRDN), executing a wide, creative berth with his menu—serving duck eggs on fries, smoked fish rillettes with mascarpone, chicken liver toast, and more. Hillcrest has needed good news for a while, and this is it. Trust us.
