Ahoy! To fete the summer season, Grant Grill Lounge has introduced a new menu of nautically themed cocktails, a nod to San Diego’s distinctions of being a port city and having one of the largest Naval bases in the U.S.
At the swanky Art Deco speakeasy tucked inside downtown’s US Grant Hotel, award-winning Chef de Bar Cory Alberto has created libations like the Star of India (a gin concoction with Old Harbor Navy Strength Rum, aloe liquor, Yellow Chartreuse, mulled wine, and house-made Buddha’s hand bitters) and Blackbeard’s Delight (pictured, a blend of Mount Gay Black Barrel Rum, Cynar bittersweet liqueur, ginger beer, mint, lime, and blackberry).
The new menu is aptly titled Three Sheets to the Wind. Let’s hope it’s more like smooth sailing.
