Go Now: Stargazing in Sedona

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing with a sojourn to Arizona

By Dan Letchworth

To commemorate this month’s 50th anniversary of the moon landing, L’Auberge de Sedona is offering Written in the Stars, a special package of space-themed amenities and events.

Upon check-in, guests are given a star-shaped cookie, a throw blanket, and a $200 credit for dining beneath the stars at the property’s creekside restaurant—plus a celestial map, to use at the complimentary stargazing sessions on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Sedona is an International Dark Sky Community, meaning there’s very little light pollution at night, making for crystal-clear views of distant galaxies and nebulae you could never see from the city. To feel even more at one with the cosmos, try their “Star Bathing,” a nighttime adaptation of the shinrin-yoku trend, and a Mindful Moon Meditation, timed to tap into the energies of both the full moon and Sedona’s famed mystical vortices. Really far out, man.
