There’s a place and time for a minimalist, monochromatic aesthetic—but the Shoreline Hotel Waikiki on O‘ahu is thankfully anything but. The 135-room property located one block from WaikÄ«kÄ« Beach recently unveiled a splashy new lobby (pictured) with neon lights, marigold-hued wingback chairs, and a 26-foot-high “jungle wall.”
Other parts of the hotel got in on the color story, too, with floors bathed in either teal, pink, or blue and a refreshed rooftop pool deck with mood lighting. The renovation also means new amenities, like maker markets stocked with locally made giftables and complimentary shave ice every Tuesday and Friday.
In the rooms, a topographic map of the Hawaiian Islands comes with a congratulatory “You are here.” Yes, we will be.
