Scripps Doc Off the Clock
When Carlos Quiros bought a fixer-upper Mustang in high school, he had no idea he’d still be working on it nearly 30 years later. But there’s a lot of memories in that car—and there’s still work to be done. Now a family medicine physician at Scripps Coastal Medical Center, Eastlake, Quiros sees similarities in restoring cars and practicing medicine, like diagnosing problems and routine maintenance.
