Women's Running Series San Diego

By Katelyn Montero

It’s time to lace up those running shoes, because the Women’s Running Series San Diego is back for the second year in a row. On February 22, thousands of runners will meet at Liberty Station to run either the 5K or half marathon courses. The course features waterfront views along Harbor Island and Shelter Island, with the finish line at the NTC Promenade in Point Loma. As the largest women’s half marathon series in the country, the Women’s Running Series is dedicated to encouraging health and fitness in local communities. Last year, during the inaugural race, San Diegans swept the top three finishing spots. This year, more and more locals are signing up with the hope of turning America’s Finest City into America’s fittest city.
